What
is cellulite?
Cellulite is the dimpled appearance of the skin on and
around the outer thighs, buttocks and other body areas
where fatty deposits (containing waste by-products and
toxins) are found. Women are more prone to cellulite
formation than men; almost all women over the age of
20 have cellulite to some degree. Cellulite is not necessarily
a symptom of being overweight and is not reduced by
weight loss alone.
Is Dermosonic a cure for cellulite?
No,
unfortunately there is no cure for cellulite. Nothing,
not Dermosonic, Endermologie, nor liposuction, affects
the subcutaneous fat layer where the cause of cellulite
is. However, Dermosonic is the most effective treatment
currently for reducing the appearance of cellulite by
effectively targeting the subcutaneous fat layer, causing
fibrosis breakage, dispersing fat tissue, elongating
connective tissue, and promoting lymphatic drainage.
The cellulite becomes much less visible since both the
tension of connective tissue and the pressure of accumulated
fat deposits and fibrosis build-up around the cellulite
are greatly reduced and therefore a smoother, firmer,
more toned look is imparted to the skin.
How does a Dermosonic treatment feel? Does it hurt?
Dermosonic® treatments do not pinch, roll, or bruise
the skin. Dermosonic is pain-free. In fact, Dermosonic
is quite comparable to a relaxing massage.
How
many treatments are recommended?
Depending on your specific needs, age, and lifestyle,
treatments are recommended twice per week for a total
of 8-12 treatments with follow-up treatments every 6-8
weeks. We offer discounted, multiple-treatment packages.
I'm having (or have had) liposuction. Is Dermosonic
suitable for me?
Dermosonic
is the ultimate treatment for pre- or post-liposuction
patients.
Pre-liposuction
patients can expect superior surgery results when Dermosonic
is used prior to surgery. A few sessions will allow
the fatty tissue to be more easily and thoroughly aspirated
resulting in approximately 50% more tissue aspiration
during surgery.
Post-liposuction
patients can expect excellent reshaping and contouring
and a decrease in the appearance and feel of adhesions
and/or lumpy tissue from surgery. Improved skin tone
and texture may also be expected. |
